THE WHAT
What is Chiropractic therapy?
Chiropractic care emphasises natural, non-invasive treatment options. It is a patient-centred approach to health with hands-on healthcare and physical therapy. It focuses on the body’s musculoskeletal and nervous systems to enhance overall wellness and quality of life.
Chiropractors are qualified to treat a wide range of conditions related to bones, muscles, joints, nerves, tendons, and ligaments. Chiropractic treatment involves safe, often gentle, specific skeletal manipulation. These manual therapies help us to free or realign joints in the spine or other parts of the body that are not moving well. This can lead to pain relief, as well as better posture and a greater range of motion.

THE HOW
Chiropractic Techniques
We diagnose musculoskeletal issues using thorough assessments, patient history, and precise physical examinations.
We diagnose musculoskeletal issues using thorough assessments, patient history, and precise physical, neurological and orthopaedic examinations.
Our chiropractors use a range of evidence-based techniques to support your recovery and improve your quality of life.
- Spinal manipulations & chiropractic adjustments: Applying controlled force to joints to restore alignment, improve mobility and reduce pain.
- Soft tissue therapies: Massage or stretching to ease muscle tension and support joint function.
- Lifestyle guidance: Tailored advice to support your long-term health and recovery, including posture correction, bespoke exercise programmes and nutritional advice.
As well as traditional hands-on manipulations and adjustments, we use modern technology alongside advanced techniques to help people manage their conditions.

Common Questions
Who benefits most from chiropractic therapy?
Chiropractic care can help people of all ages — from office workers with poor posture to athletes recovering from injury. It’s particularly effective for those experiencing persistent back or neck pain, joint stiffness, or recurring musculoskeletal issues that affect daily life.
What should I wear to my appointment?
Comfortable, loose-fitting clothing is best, as it allows for ease of movement during your assessment and treatment. If needed, you may be asked to change into clinic-provided clothing for certain examinations.
How long do treatments last?
- Initial Consultation: Around 45 minutes, including history, assessment, and first treatment.
- Follow-Up Treatments: Usually 20 minutes, depending on your personalised care plan.
- What results can I expect?
Some patients feel relief straight after their first session, while others notice gradual improvement over a series of treatments. Consistency is key — following your care plan, along with lifestyle and exercise advice, gives the best long-term results.
Is chiropractic treatment safe?
Yes. Chiropractic care is widely considered safe when carried out by fully qualified professionals. Your chiropractor will always assess your medical history and health status before recommending treatment.
Do I need ongoing care?
Many patients choose regular chiropractic sessions as part of a proactive health routine — not just for pain relief but also to improve posture, mobility, and general wellbeing. We’ll always discuss whether maintenance sessions could benefit you after your initial treatment plan.
What about side effects?
Most side effects are mild and temporary, such as slight stiffness or tiredness. These typically ease within 24–48 hours. Your chiropractor will explain what to expect and give you aftercare guidance so you feel confident between sessions.
