ACTIVE CHIROPRACTIC STAFFORD

Custom Made Insoles

We use the latest technology to fit you with custom orthotic insoles for your unique structure that are designed to improve comfort and reduce pain.

What can a biomechanics assessment help with?

THE WHAT

What are custom orthotic insoles?

Custom orthotics are specially-made devices designed to support and comfort your feet. They are designed to improve the way you move and offer long term support.

Orthotics are only manufactured after a complete biomechanics assessment and lower body examination. This enables us to ensure your custom orthotic insoles will accommodate your unique biomechanics and skeletal structure.

Custom orthotics are crafted for you and no one else, offering tailored support for your individual posture and body type.

THE HOW

What happens in a custom insoles fitting?

During your first consultation, we’ll go through your relevant medical history. Our chiropractor will perform an examination and full biomechanics assessment. They’ll analyse your lower body muscles and bone structure, looking out for any weaknesses.

The chiropractor will discuss the findings with you and the next steps. This includes whether they think you would benefit from custom orthotic insoles or any other treatment options.

Do I need to bring anything with me?

It can be useful to bring the shoes you usually wear daily, and any sports trainers or work footwear. If you currently have any orthotics or insoles, please bring those too.

THE WHY

Why Choose Active Chiropractic In Stafford?

During your first consultation, we’ll go through your relevant medical history. Your treatment therapist will perform an examination and discuss the findings with you. They might recommend other diagnosis services, like an ultrasound, blood tests or biomechanical assessment. The chiropractor will then discuss a personalised treatment plan with you.

What our Customers Say

Nick has really helped me with cervical arthritis and stenosis. highly recommend.
Nick is great, sorted me out on more than one occasions.
If you have any Joint and muscle pain, pop and see Nick, If anyone can sort it Nick can 🙂
Many years ago I had a frozen shoulder, I had a course of half a dozen sessions with a chiropractor with no noticeable improvement. Then a friend suggested that I give Nick a try, so I had three sessions with Nick over a relatively short period of time, and no more shoulder or neck problems at the end of this period. I'm now at an age where I should be employing a gardener, but regular visits to Nick have enabled me to enjoy lengthy sessions working in the garden, safe in the knowledge that if and when I overdo things Nick will rapidly get me firing on all cylinders again.
Nick will put you at your ease, is brilliant at his job & I personally can't recommend him highly enough.
Nick is very professional, friendly and does an incredible job of making me feel more flexible again. Highly recommend!!!
I've been seeing Nick for years for various niggles and just to keep things loose. I have very complex medical issues and this man knows exactly what they are and how they affect my body. Such a clever bloke whose always looking to enhance his skills, I'd never think of going anywhere else; man's a genius.
Nick is well on the way to get me back on track!!
Great appointment everything made clear and treatment plan put in place really grateful
I've had back, neck, shoulders and knee problems for many years and seen several therapists but going to see Nick is the first real breakthrough I've experienced. There have been noticeable changes in my mobility around my neck, shoulders and legs particularly. I don't expect miracles as I've had back pain for over 40 years but am happy with the progress so far. It's early days yet, but would recommend Nick and am looking forward to my next appointment 😀.
Nick managed to fit me in at short notice. After having agonising pain in shoulder and back he soon diagnosed the problem. I would 100% recommend. Thanks Nick .
Nick is very professional and offers a great plan to get you back on your feet excellent treatment

Common Questions

Who can benefit from custom orthotic insoles?
Orthotics can help people with recurring foot, ankle, knee, hip, or lower back pain. They’re also valuable for athletes, people who spend long hours standing, and those with posture or gait problems. Even if you don’t have pain, orthotics can improve comfort, performance, and long-term joint health.

How are custom insoles different from shop-bought ones?
Unlike off-the-shelf insoles, custom orthotics are designed specifically for your feet. They’re based on a full biomechanics assessment and built to support your unique skeletal structure, ensuring precise alignment and comfort that generic products can’t offer.

What should I wear or bring?
Please bring the shoes you wear most often — everyday footwear, sports trainers, and work shoes. If you currently use orthotics or insoles, bring those too so we can compare and advise.

How long do they last?
With proper care, custom orthotics typically last 2–3 years. However, this depends on your activity levels and footwear. We recommend a review if your symptoms return, your footwear changes significantly, or after a few years of use.

Will they feel strange at first?
Yes, it’s normal to notice a period of adjustment. Some people feel immediate relief, while others need a few weeks to get used to the new alignment. We’ll give you advice on wearing them gradually to ensure comfort.

Can orthotics fix all my pain?
Orthotics are part of a broader treatment plan. They often work best alongside chiropractic care, strengthening exercises, and lifestyle adjustments. We’ll always discuss whether you would benefit from combining orthotics with other therapies.

Are there any risks?
Custom orthotics are safe. The only issue some people experience is mild initial discomfort as their body adjusts to improved alignment. This typically eases quickly and is part of the normal adaptation process.
